The decline of health is in consequence of injurious habits against the laws of health. Whether the cause of disease was influenced by genetics or by personal neglect of health, it can be reversed, or at least controlled. Our genes load the gun, but our lifestyle pulls the trigger. Using natural remedies is a more holistic approach; a healing of the body, mind, and soul, and seeks to ascertain the causes rather than focusing on the symptoms alone. The use of natural remedies for healing is a growing field with a history of tradition. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>A Brief History of Natural Remedies <\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The use of natural remedies has Biblical origins, in which poultices and herbs were used for ailments. \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0on the boil, and he recovered.\u201d (2 Kings 20:7) <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Natural medicine traces back to traditional Chinese medicine. However, when conventional medicine is rendered ineffective, using natural remedies increases. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regardless of the why people choose natural remedies, \u201cit is a flourishing global commercial enterprise.\u201d It is so helpful to be equipped with the knowledge to prevent and treat ailments with simple, affordable, and in natural ways in the home. This natural remedy is one of many effective ways to combat a cold or flu. I have personally seen the results to be effective in reducing symptoms by at least 50%. Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth, and store in a glass mason jar. For every tablespoon of this mixture, dilute it with \u00bc cup of water. It is best taken after a meal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cough Syrup:<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Simmer in a pot for 15-20 minutes, add in honey or agave, licorice root, then pour into a glass mason jar. To use, mix 2 teaspoons to an herbal tea or warm water.
